at any time after you register. |
|
| Q. 2 |
I'm having trouble uploading my photo. What
should I do? |
| |
If you can't upload your photo, email it
to support@findstudents.net
.
Make sure you include your registered email address (ID) so
we know who it is from. |
|
| Q. 3 |
When will my teaching profile be displayed
to be viewed by students, and where? |
| |
Usually within 48 hours after your registration.
You will also receive a confirmation e-mail once your teaching
profile is online and ready to be viewed by students. If it
is going to be delayed, the email message you will receive
right after your registration tells you about it. Your teaching
profile will be displayed on www.NativeSensei.com . It's going
to be translated into Japanese, so you can only view it if
your computer supports Japanese characters. |
|
| Q. 4 |
How do I contact students? |
| |
Students look at your teaching profile and
if they want your contact information, they submit a request
to us and we send it to them. At the same time, you will receive
an e-mail saying the student's name. If the student decides
to provide you with their contact information, it will also
be listed in the e-mail. In that case, feel free to contact
them; otherwise, they will contact you. |
|
| Q. 5 |
Is my ID the same as my registered e-mail

| |
Yes, your e-mail address is used as your

|
| Q. 13 |
What should I do if I have another question? |
| |
If there is anything else we can help you
with, please email us using the Contact
Us form. |
|
| Q. 14 |
How do I increase the chance of students
seeing my profile? |
|
Do you have stations listed in the "Train
Stations where you teach" field in your profile? A train station
can be used by the prospective student as a search keyword
(as well as a city/ward), so as long as a train line(s) run
in your area, you should have train stations listed in the
"Train Stations where you teach" field. |
|
| Q. 15 |
I know many students have viewed my profile,
but none of them have selected me as their teacher. What do
you think seems to be the problem? |
|
Firstly, do you have your photo in your profile?
If not, we suggest you have one. Knowing what you look like
can help students lessen or eliminate the feelings of fear
and nervousness and makes them feel more comfortable. Secondly,
what is the private lesson fee in your profile? If you took
a language lesson, how much would you be willing to pay? Most
Japanese students are willing to pay around 3,000 yen for
a one-hour private lesson.
Some useful statistics about students who have chosen teachers:
7.7% of students chose teachers who charge 2,000 yen per hour
21.8% of students chose teachers who charge 2,500 yen per
hour.
53.8% of students chose teachers who charge 3,000 yen per
hour.
7.7% of students chose teachers who charge 3,500 yen per hour.
10% of students chose teachers who charge 2000- or 3,500+
yen per hour. |
|
| Q. 16 |
How often should I update my profile? |
|
As you may or may not know, the "UPDATED"
icon is shown on your profile for 4 weeks after your profile
is updated. We strongly recommend that you update your profile
at least once a month, because each time you do so, the ''UPDATED''
icon will be displayed on your profile. This means that you
are likely to get more students, as students prefer a teacher
who has had recent activity in their account.

You can enter the update page from our HomePage
with your login ID (E-mail address) and password. If you forget
your password, click

|
| Q. 17 |
I deactivated my profile several days ago,
but I still keep receiving emails from new students. Why? |
|
At times, this may happen even a week or
two after your profile was deactivated. This is because a
student may ask for a teacher's contact information before
the teacher has deactivated their profile. After the student
has made the payment for the teacher's contact information,
we email them the information, and they then contact the teacher.
(As you may or may not know, our service is not free for students
though it is free for teachers.) |
|
| Q. 18 |
A student contacted me for a trial lesson,
but I'm not currently looking for students. Should I reply
to the student? |
|
First of all, if a student has emailed you
and you are not looking to teach more students, please respond
to their email and tell them so. Secondly, to prevent students
from contacting you in the future, please go to the members'
section and deactivate your profile. |
